Health data covered

ARC health and wellness data may include heart rate and heart-rate variability estimates, sleep and activity information, skin-temperature trends, recovery or stress signals, device-wear information, user-entered wellness information and data from integrations that a user chooses to connect.

How ARC uses health data

ARC uses health data to provide requested wellness features, calculate and display trends or insights, personalize the user experience, troubleshoot devices and services, protect service integrity, conduct product reliability work and support user-directed exports or integrations.

Consent and user direction

Where applicable law requires consent or authorization for a health-data activity, ARC will request it before performing that activity. A user-directed integration or export does not authorize ARC to use the data for unrelated advertising purposes.

No targeted advertising

ARC does not sell health telemetry for money, use health telemetry for targeted advertising or send heart rate, sleep, temperature, recovery or similar health telemetry to advertising pixels.

When health data may be disclosed

ARC may disclose health data to service providers that process it on ARC's behalf, to an integration or person when the user directs that disclosure, or when disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect a user or the service. ARC does not treat data brokers as a normal destination for ARC health telemetry.

User controls

Users can request access, correction, export or eligible deletion of health information as provided by applicable law and the available ARC product controls. Connected integrations should be removable when the integration supports disconnection.

Retention and deletion

Health data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested features, maintain security and reliability, meet legal obligations and resolve account or support issues. A deletion request may not remove information that ARC is legally required to retain or that has been irreversibly de-identified.

Consumer health privacy laws

Consumer health privacy requirements differ by jurisdiction. Where a law grants additional rights, ARC will apply those rights to covered health data. A user can submit a health privacy request through [email protected] with the subject Health Privacy Request.

Health privacy contact

Health privacy questions and requests can also be mailed to Arc Wearable, Inc., 44 Warren St, Providence, RI, United States, 02907. ARC may verify identity or authority before fulfilling a request when required or permitted by law.

Not medical care

ARC metrics and insights are intended for general wellness and fitness information. They are not a diagnosis, medical device prescription or substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
